Walid Regragui excludes Hakim Ziyech

The coach of the Moroccan national team, Walid Regragui, unveiled his choices for the confrontations against Liberia and Burkina Faso on September 9 and 12 in Lens. Several surprises to note!
While these matches will serve as preparation for the 2023 CAN, the absence of the attacking midfielder, Hakim Ziyech, is striking. After a mixed season at Chelsea, Ziyech, recently loaned to Galatasaray, has not yet played for his new club. This exclusion seems to invite the player to regain playing time with his club before hoping for a return with the Atlas Lions.
Moreover, Lamine Yamal, the 16-year-old Barcelona talent, is also not on Regragui’s list. Despite the rumors of negotiations with the player, the latter has not yet confirmed his commitment to the Moroccan national team.
On the positive side, Amine Adli, the former Toulouse player, is indeed called up. His recent choice to join the Moroccan cause confirms the previous rumors. Amine Harit, absent from the 2022 World Cup due to injury, is also back, as are Yunis Abdelhamid and Ayoub El Kaabi.
