Walid Regragui defends the criticized players

Walid Regragui defended the Atlas Lions Ayoub El Kaabi and Youssef En-Nesyri who are the subject of criticism due to their current form. His protégés receive Mauritania in a friendly match this Tuesday at the Grand Stade d’Agadir.
"You know my affection for En-Nesyri and El Kaabi, they are players who score for their clubs and you could criticize me because they don’t score for the national team. [...] There may be a problem of confidence, because when they wear our jersey, it can be difficult. Those who were born or grew up in Morocco know the value of the national team and I have to help them as we did with En-Nesyri during the World Cup," Walid Regragui analyzed on Monday at the pre-match press conference against Mauritania.
The coach of the Moroccan national team believes that competition could push these two strikers to deliver very good performances. "Competition will help them and make them more efficient when I give them their chance. They are high-level strikers," he is convinced. The Moroccan coach also called on supporters to give love to these two players. "The public must support them, the pressure of social media and the press has an impact. Give love to the players, it could solve the problem, because we have players who create good situations and with work we will help the striker to score," he continued.
After their victory over Angola (1-0), the Atlas Lions face Mauritania in a friendly match at the Grand Stade d’Agadir on Tuesday.
