Volotea drops Strasbourg–Agadir route for winter and delays six Morocco services

Barely a year after it launched, the Strasbourg–Agadir route is disappearing from Volotea’s winter schedule. The Spanish airline had launched this route in late November 2025, taking over a service previously operated by Ryanair. Alsatian travelers will thus lose this direct flight for the season.

The change appears in the schedule review published on October 20 by AeroRoutes, based on schedules filed as of October 18. The air transport specialist also lists six Moroccan routes whose resumption has been postponed until the Christmas holidays.

In Bordeaux, Agadir and Marrakech will now be served only from December 19, rather than the originally planned November 3. The Bordeaux–Marrakech route will also be cut from two flights a week to one starting January 7, 2027.

Lille, Nantes and Lyon also affected

In Lille, services to Agadir and Marrakech will resume on December 19, instead of November 7 and 3, respectively. Nantes–Agadir, which was due to restart on November 7, has been postponed to the same date. Strasbourg–Marrakech, where flights were due to resume on November 7, will also have to wait until December 19.

The changes go beyond these six delays. Volotea is removing the Lyon–Marrakech flights scheduled from October 25 to December 16. In Nantes, the schedule to Marrakech is being cut from 45 to 30 flights for the season: 15 fewer than in the original schedule, a one-third reduction.

In early October, Volotea had already announced around 700 flight cancellations in Lille, including services to Morocco. The airline offered passengers affected by a cancellation a free rebooking or a full refund.

The cuts extend beyond Morocco. Across its network, Volotea’s planned flights fell from 25,395 in June to 17,048 as of October 18, meaning 8,347 flights were removed from the original winter schedule. This represents a reduction of nearly 33% in the flights it had planned to operate for the season.
