Volotea launches a new flight to Morocco from Strasbourg

The airline Volotea is consolidating its position as the leading operator at Strasbourg Airport by expanding its network to the south. The Spanish low-cost airline inaugurated, on the weekend of November 29 and 30, three new routes connecting the Alsatian capital, including one to the city of Agadir.

These openings are part of a strategy of continuous growth in the Grand Est region, where the company has two Airbus A320 aircraft based. The new line to Agadir, operated every Saturday, specifically targets the leisure clientele in search of winter sunshine.

This service complements the existing offer to Marrakech, strengthening the company’s positioning in the competitive segment of flights to North Africa. For the airport, it is an opportunity to capture additional flows, including a cross-border German and Swiss clientele.

In addition to Morocco, Volotea is densifying its European and domestic network. The link to Porto, operated on Tuesdays and Fridays (with adjustments for Christmas), is added to the service to Faro, offering an alternative to the competition from neighboring airports such as Basel-Mulhouse or Baden-Baden. The line to Rodez, on the other hand, offers a weekly connection on Sundays to the Aveyron region.
