Spanish Police Intercept Stolen Luxury Vehicles Bound for Morocco

The stolen off-road vehicles from France and Italy were seized after five people tried to transfer them to Morocco via the port of Algeciras, the Spanish police said. The market value of these luxury vehicles is estimated at more than 150,000 euros, they added.

The agents also seized another off-road vehicle and two Buggy-type vehicles stolen in Belgium, and two motorcycles involved in a robbery in France.

The five people were arrested and made available to the competent court. An amount of 8,680 euros in cash was found on one of them. It should be used to pay for the transport of the vehicles to Morocco. Once in Morocco, these luxury vehicles are sent to different African countries to be sold on the black market.
