European Luxury Car Theft Ring Busted: 22 Vehicles Seized at Spanish Port

The Civil Guard intercepted at the port of Tarifa 22 high-end vehicles stolen in Europe that were about to be shipped to Morocco. In total, nine people were arrested, seven of whom were charged.
The operation was carried out over the past three weeks. Agents from the Fiscal and Border section of the port of Tarifa intercepted 16 private vehicles, five motorcycles and one quad bike stolen in various European countries, with false license plates and false documents, which were about to board for the city of Tangier in Morocco, reports El Debate.
Among the high-end vehicles seized are a Porsche 911 Carrera, stolen in Denmark and bearing a false Swiss registration, worth 125,000 euros, as well as an Audi RS6, stolen in Germany, estimated at 225,000 euros.
In total, nine people were arrested, seven of whom were investigated for alleged crimes of theft, receiving stolen goods and document forgery. The persons concerned were made available to the competent prosecutor’s office. As for the intercepted vehicles, they were sent back to their countries of origin to be returned to their respective owners.
