Violent Shootout Erupts as Police Attempt Drug Dealer Arrest in Casablanca

To spare the passers-by, Assabah reports that "the police were forced to use their service weapons, firing 9 warning shots, 2 of which hit the suspect’s brother and one of his acquaintances." A press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) will later specify that the danger emanating from the suspects was neutralized and the wanted suspect was taken into custody, while the two injured were placed under medical supervision, pending the conclusion of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
