Violent Clash Between Moroccan and Algerian Migrants in Ceuta Port Leaves One Critically Injured

A massive brawl took place on February 27 between Moroccan and Algerian immigrants. A man was seriously injured in the head.
The fight took place inside the port, near the ship dedicated to garbage collection. Clashes took place between members of two different groups, one Moroccan and the other Algerian. The security forces dispersed the people present to end the brawl.
However, one of the immigrants would have been seriously injured in the head, according to El Faro de Ceuta which relays the information. The media does not specify which "camp" he was from. "In the absence of ambulances, it was the national police itself that took the injured to the university hospital after waiting unsuccessfully for the arrival of the health units," El Faro said.
The Guardia Civil would have dispatched more patrols in the area to prevent new clashes, which did not ultimately take place. It would also have dispersed the onlookers, "dozens of people", who only increased "the tension between the two groups".
It is not yet known what prompted these groups to fight. Nor the seriousness of the injuries sustained on both sides.
