Violent Assault on Teacher Shocks Moroccan School as Education Tensions Rise

A 20-year-old student has just violently assaulted a teacher, in the vicinity of Taroudant, simply because the latter asked him to calm down.
At a time when contract teachers are organizing demonstrations (violently dispersed by the security forces) to demand their integration into the civil service, a teacher has been attacked, very violently, in Oulad Tayma, near Taroudant.
This happened at the Abdellah Chefchaouni high school, last Monday. The teacher asks the student to calm down, the latter takes it badly (or finds a pretext) and there he is beating the teacher without restraint.
The young student then fled but was arrested a few hours later and placed in custody. An investigation has been opened to determine the ins and outs of this story.
