Vehicle Attack in Rabat Injures 7, Driver Arrested in Hassan District

An investigation has been opened by the police against a man who deliberately rammed his vehicle into employees and cleaning agents in the heart of the Hassan district of Rabat.
Few details have emerged about the circumstances of this case, but the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced the opening of a "judicial investigation, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, against the driver of a car who deliberately hit seven employees and cleaning agents".
The 20-year-old was in a rental car "before getting into a conflict with cleaning agents and deliberately hitting them, causing a fracture to one agent and minor injuries to the six others," the statement said, noting that all the injured were taken to the hospital for necessary care.
The suspect was taken into custody as part of the investigation conducted by the public prosecutor’s office at the Court of First Instance in Rabat and will soon have to answer to justice for these acts.
It should be noted that municipal employees and various services in the capital have been active in a large part of the Moroccan capital in recent days to prepare for the visit of Pope Francis to Morocco.
