Vaccine News Sparks Surge in French Flight Searches to Marrakech, Dubai
Online travel comparators have recorded a sharp increase in flight booking requests to Marrakech following the first announcements from pharmaceutical laboratories on the imminent availability of Covid-19 vaccines.
The French have particularly searched for 10 destinations between November 9 and 23. Searches on the sites of the European leader in the sector eDreams Odigeo (Opodo, eDreams and Go Voyages) increased by 15% on November 9 compared to the previous Monday, and even 19% compared to the previous week.
The destinations that recorded the strongest growth following the announcement of the coronavirus vaccine are: Dubai (49%), Marrakech (27%) and Bangkok (25%).
