Marrakech Ranks 5th in French Summer Travel Bookings, eDreams Study Shows

Marrakech is in 5th place in the top 10 of bookings for September and October. Ajaccio takes first place in the ranking, followed by Figari, Saint-Denis and Bastia. Lisbon ranks 6th, while Dubai is 7th. Pointe-à-Pitre, Athens and Porto complete the podium. Tunis and Djerba rank 3rd and 9th respectively in the top 10 of bookings for July and August. As for Algeria, it is the big absence of summer bookings.

The Spanish travel agency eDreams ODIGEO found that 89% of bookings are for trips in July and August (compared to 82% in 2020 and 2019), and 11% of bookings made concern the months of September-October 2021 (compared to 18% in 2020 and 2019).

"In an uncertain health context, travelers prefer direct and reassuring flights to Corsica, Greece and the Spanish islands," notes the French travel agency Bourse-des-vols.
