Ryanair Launches New Rabat-Malaga Route with Twice-Weekly Flights This Summer

The airline Ryanair has just announced the launch this summer of a route between Rabat and Malaga. It also specifies that changes to flight bookings at the end of June for health reasons related to Covid-19 remain free of charge until the end of October.

As of July 1 and until October 28, 2021, the Irish low-cost carrier will operate, via a Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats, two weekly flights between Rabat-Salé and Malaga-Costa del Sol airport. They will depart from Rabat on Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. to land in Malaga at 9:15 a.m., and on Sundays at 10:20 p.m. to arrive in Malaga at 12:20 a.m. The return flights will leave Spain on Thursdays at 6:50 a.m. and Sundays at 9:55 p.m. and will be in Morocco after a one-hour flight.

Ryanair also reported the maintenance until the end of October of the offer of free changes to flight bookings at the end of June. "Customers can now book summer vacation flights knowing that if they need to postpone or change their travel dates, they can do so with zero change fees until the end of October 2021," said Dara Brady, the company’s marketing director, in a press release.

For Fabrice Dariot, president of Bourse des Vols, the Irish low-cost carrier "is betting on Morocco this summer". A choice he considers "wise". "We feel a stirring of interest in the most reassuring summer destination in the southern Mediterranean. Moreover, the Irish low-cost carrier has managed much better than many of its peers the issue of refunds, following a painful period of adaptation in the second quarter of 2020, and its brand image is intact," he said.
