USFP Lawmaker Faces Court in Fez Over Alleged Inheritance Fraud

Accused by his brothers and a sister of having falsified official documents, with the complicity of a notary, to seize the family inheritance, a parliamentarian elected in Al Hoceima last July under the banner of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) must appear this Monday, January 16, 2023 before the Criminal Chamber in Fez.
Brothers and a sister dispossessed by their parliamentarian brother? The USFP elected official is accused of having falsified, with the complicity of a notary, official documents in connection with the legacy of their father who died in 1997. It is a company that managed real estate and whose income was used to meet the family’s needs, reports the Arabic daily Assabah. The notary had a power of attorney to manage this inheritance. But the authenticity of a document dated 2003 and representing precisely the power of attorney that had been used for the signing in 2005 of other documents relating to the sale of the company’s shares is problematic. These documents were signed in the absence of the other heirs
