UAE Launches Winter Aid Operation for Vulnerable Residents in Morocco’s Ifrane Region

To help them cope with the cold wave, a distribution of aid operation was launched yesterday by the United Arab Emirates for the residents of social protection establishments.
According to the MAP, the launch of this operation was given by the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Morocco, Ali Salem Al Kaâbi, the Governor of the province, Abdelhamid El Mazid, and the President of the Provincial Council of Ifrane, Hammou Ouheli.
The aid consists of the distribution of blankets and food to the residents of these centers.
"This operation, which reflects the strength of the friendly relations between the two brotherly countries, is part of the efforts to mitigate the effects of the cold wave in favor of the populations of the mountainous regions," the ambassador told MAP, adding that other similar operations are planned for the populations of other remote areas.
