Turkey Praises Morocco’s Diplomatic Efforts in Libyan Peace Process

Through the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey has praised Morocco’s constructive role in resolving the Libyan conflict. The statement came after the Inter-Libyan Dialogue Meeting, organized last weekend in Bouznika.
Praising the pioneering role of the kingdom in the Libyan conflict, Hami Aksoy recalled that Morocco had hosted the first "Political Agreement in Libya", better known as the Skhirat Agreement.
"From the beginning," he stressed in a statement, "Turkey has argued that the resolution of the crisis in Libya must go through a political process led by the Libyans under the decisions of the UN Security Council and defended by the Libyans".
At the initiative of the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nacer Bourita, the city of Bouznika had hosted the Libyan dialogue between the delegations of the Libyan High Council of State and the Tobruk parliament last Sunday and Monday.
