Tunisian Woman Pleads with Moroccan King to Free Ailing Brother from Prison

A moving appeal for help has been launched to King Mohammed VI by a Tunisian woman begging him to free her brother detained in Morocco since 2006.
This appeal was made public through a video posted on social media. Sentenced to 15 years in prison for a case related to terrorism, the young woman says her brother would not leave the walls of the Laarjat prison in Salé until 2021.
The Tunisian national adds that the detainee’s health does not allow him to withstand the difficult conditions of prison, specifying that he is suffering from laryngeal cancer.
Imploring the Sovereign to respond to her call, the young woman expresses the desire to see the dream of her mother, who is paraplegic, finally come true, knowing, she says, that she has not seen her son for 15 years.
