Moroccan Student Jailed for Sharing Video of Scandinavian Tourists’ Murder

A student from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in Fez was sentenced to three years in prison for sharing a video in which the murder of the two Scandinavian tourists near Marrakech could be seen.
It was the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance, responsible for Terrorism Affairs near the Annex of the Court of Appeal of Salé, which ruled in this case, at the end of which the young student who was found guilty of having shared the video of the murder of the two Scandinavian tourists in Imlil, was sentenced to three years in prison.
This same Criminal Chamber had sentenced, on July 18, the 24 accused for the murder of the two Scandinavian tourists to sentences ranging from five years in prison to the death penalty.
The accused was one of the first people to have disseminated the video of the murder, thus showing, with a caption, his admiration for what the terrorists had done.
It should be noted that he was not, however, associated with any extremist organization and no suspicious relationship with terrorists was confirmed.
