Trump Praises Morocco’s King Mohammed VI on 21st Anniversary, Highlighting US-Morocco Ties
Donald Trump sent a message to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Festival. The US president expressed his congratulations to the Moroccan sovereign on this solemn moment marking the 21st anniversary of his accession to power.
In his message, Donald Trump also mentioned the leadership with which the king maintains the relations between Morocco and the United States. "During Your Majesty’s reign, Morocco and the United States have worked closely together to deepen the historic relations between our two countries."
The US president also highlighted the efforts made for peace in Africa and the world. "We have signed the only US free trade agreement in Africa, fought side by side against the scourge of violent extremism, and multiplied the possibilities for better cultural understanding between our peoples." For him, the friendship between the two countries is rooted in "the common conviction of the promise of peace, stability and economic opportunities," reports Map.
According to the same source, Donald Trump says he greatly appreciates Mohammed VI’s international efforts to encourage religious tolerance and the fight against extremism. "As you embark on the third decade of Your reign, I look forward to continuing the fruitful work we have accomplished together to create a more peaceful and prosperous African continent," writes Trump.
