Trump Congratulates Morocco’s King Mohammed VI on 20-Year Reign, Affirms Strong US-Morocco Ties
In a message he addressed to the King of Morocco, US President Donald Trump congratulated Mohammed VI who is celebrating, with the Moroccans, the 20th anniversary of his accession to the Throne.
The President of the United States sent his congratulations to King Mohammed VI. In his message, he welcomed the fact that relations between the two countries have "expanded and deepened during the reign" of the Sovereign.
"I am confident that we will build on our free trade agreement, our strong security partnership and our diverse cultural and educational ties to ensure a safer and more prosperous future for our two peoples," wishes Donald Trump.
Although the two countries have "promoted fair and reciprocal trade exchanges," the US President notes: "There is still much for us to accomplish together, including continuing our fight against extremism in all its forms, promoting tolerance and religious understanding, advancing common priorities in Africa and continuing to develop the cultural link between our countries as a testament to our friendship of over 240 years."
