Trial Resumes for Moroccan Surgeon Dr. Tazi in High-Profile Fraud Case

After the judicial holidays, the trial of Dr. Tazi resumes next week, with the confrontation of the five main defendants.
The investigating judge has decided to reopen the Tazi case. Next week, a confrontation is planned between Dr. Tazi, plastic surgeon, his wife, his brother, the intermediary in charge of collecting donations, and an employee of the clinic, indicate judicial sources to Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, announcing that this hearing will be hot and stormy.
The wife of Dr. Tazi continues to deny her involvement in this case and to support that her husband is the only one responsible for the finances of the clinic. The brother of Dr. Tazi is also of this opinion, assuring that he only takes care of the administrative management of the establishment. After the interrogation of the main defendants in July, the investigating judge closed the case.
At the time, the magistrate also heard the donors and the other people mentioned in the report of the judicial police investigation. In their statements, the latter revealed the existence of bank accounts into which they deposited their donations, the numbers of which were communicated to them by the one named Z. B, the intermediary in this case.
According to the conclusions of the investigation, there are three bank accounts opened respectively in the name of the clinic, the wife of Tazi who is the financial director and the intermediary Z. B. The judge decided to reopen the case after the spread of rumors about the sale by Dr. Tazi of two villas and three luxury cars. The defendants are prosecuted for fraud, embezzlement, falsification of certificates, overcharging and human trafficking.
