Travels to Morocco and luxury gifts: the fall of a French police officer
The end of the line for a police sergeant from Villeneuve-la-Garenne. The courts have validated the dismissal of this police officer, involved in a vast corruption scandal related to impound lots. He is accused of having sold his influence in exchange for lavish gifts, including trips to Morocco.
According to the information from Actu.fr, the administrative court of Cergy-Pontoise rejected the agent’s appeal, confirming a sanction deemed proportionate to the seriousness of the facts. At the heart of the case: his close ties with the manager of the company Inter Dépannage, whom he considered his "brother".
The IGPN investigation uncovered a suspicious lifestyle. In exchange for his protection, the civil servant would have benefited from hair implants, a 12,000-euro scooter, luxury clothing and trips to Morocco offered. Empty boxes of major brands like Dior or Louboutin were also seized from his home.
In return, the police officer acted as a true henchman. Witnesses describe intimidation with a weapon at the belt and pressure on employees. He is also accused of illegally consulting police files and intervening to erase judicial traces. For the judges, this behavior carries an unforgivable attack on the image of the national police.
