Travel to Morocco: missing the outbound flight will no longer mean losing the return ticket
Correcting an error in a name and printing a boarding pass will no longer be chargeable in several situations. The new European rules will also protect the return ticket when a traveler does not use their outbound flight.
A simple spelling mistake in a passenger’s name will no longer result in dozens of euros in fees. Airlines will have to correct this type of error on the ticket free of charge.

They will also no longer be allowed to charge an additional fee for printing the boarding pass at the airport when the traveler has already checked in. The passenger will be able to receive their pass in digital format without having to create an account or install the airline’s application. Their own printed version must also be accepted.
Another important change for MRE: missing the outbound flight will no longer allow the airline to automatically cancel the return ticket. A traveler who ultimately reaches Morocco by car, boat or with another airline will therefore retain their return flight at no additional cost.
The suitcase will no longer be able to discreetly inflate the price
Comparison websites, intermediaries and airlines will have to display, from the beginning of the booking process, a fare that includes a cabin bag. A lower price without luggage may still be offered, but only as a clearly identifiable option.
The small bag or backpack placed under the seat will remain included free of charge. The reform therefore does not mean that all cabin bags will automatically become free with every ticket, but it will prevent airlines from concealing their cost behind an introductory fare, the Council of the European Union specifies.
Compensation procedures will also be regulated. After a claim is submitted, the airline will have thirty days to pay the amount owed or explain precisely why it is refusing. Compensation will remain between 250 and 600 euros when a flight is canceled or arrives more than three hours late, except in extraordinary circumstances demonstrated by the carrier.

These protections will notably apply to flights departing from the European Union for Morocco, regardless of the airline, as well as journeys from Morocco to Europe when operated by a European carrier. The rules will enter into force twelve months and twenty days after their publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
