Transavia Expands Morocco Routes: Resumes Paris-Dakhla Flights, Adds Errachidia Service

The airline Transavia has decided to resume the Paris-Dakhla route, which has remained suspended since 2020. It also plans to launch a direct line between Paris and Errachidia as part of the strengthening of its partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), which covers 331,884 seats to Morocco from France, an increase of 53.41% compared to summer 2022.

The partnership between the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Transavia is strengthening, with the opening of two new strategic lines for the winter of 2023-2024. Starting October 30, the company will relaunch the Paris-Dakhla line, opened for the very first time in 2018 with a weekly frequency, before its suspension in 2020. This time, the low-cost airline will connect the two cities with two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays, in order to facilitate access and boost weekend getaways.

In addition to the reopening of the Paris-Dakhla line, Transavia plans to launch the Paris-Errachidia route with a weekly flight operated every Sunday. A first international connection for the Moroccan city will be able to develop its desert and oasis tourism offer. "Dakhla and Errachidia are two tourist destinations with strong development potential that need to be supported. With these new international connections, they will benefit from an influx of international tourists and see their performance improve," said Adel El Fakir, Director General of ONMT, in a press release.

In addition, the low-cost airline intends to strengthen the service to Marrakech from the French province with the opening of the direct Rennes-Marrakech and Brest-Marrakech lines.
