Transavia Resumes Paris-Dakhla Flights, Doubles Weekly Service

The airline Transavia resumed on Monday the link between Paris and Dakhla, launched in 2018 but suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic. The resumption of this line is part of the strengthening of its partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).

"Transavia with the support of the ONMT will not only resume this route, but also double the number of weekly frequencies on this line. Flights will thus be operated on Mondays and Fridays in order to boost 4-day weekend getaways," the office said in a statement. The inaugural flight of this service landed on Monday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Dakhla Oued Eddahab airport from Paris-Orly international airport with Olivier Mazzucchelli, CEO of Transavia, on board.

On Sunday, the company inaugurated its new air link between Paris and the city of Errachidia. "The opening of this new route responds to the growing demand for the Errachidia destination, which is full of important tourist potential," said Sadoq Abdedaim, president of the Provincial Tourism Council of the city, in a statement to the press. It is also planned, as part of the strengthening of its partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), "the opening of new direct lines Rennes-Marrakech and Brest-Marrakech".

Another advantage of the partnership is the availability of 252,315 seats to Morocco from France during the 2023-2024 winter season, an increase of 39% compared to the winter 2022-2023 offer. "In addition to the air routes secured through the ONMT-Transavia partnership, the airline will provide 206,199 seats, bringing the total capacity to 458,514 seats," the same source said.
