Transavia Cancels 200 Summer Flights Amid Aircraft Shortage, Morocco Routes Affected

The airline Transavia is forced to cancel some 200 flights this summer, including some to Morocco. The reason? A shortage of aircraft.
This crisis dates back to last month, with a series of administrative obstacles and delays in the delivery of aircraft leased from the defunct Romanian company Blue Air. Add to that a shortage of spare parts, prolonging the immobilization of certain aircraft. The consequences? Several canceled flights and thousands of passengers affected.
However, the Air France - KLM subsidiary claims to have been able to reposition "almost all" of the passengers affected by these disruptions. The persons concerned, as well as the associated tour operators, have been duly informed.

Since last month, the airline has been anticipating these cancellations, thus providing additional leeway. An example: in June, more than 330 flights were canceled, and about a hundred per month are expected for July and August.
Despite these cancellations, the low-cost airline insists on its ability to ensure the remaining scheduled flights and commits to maintaining a quality of service despite the current challenges.
