Train Collides with Moroccan Truck in Mauritania, No Casualties Reported

A train from the Mauritanian National Industrial and Mining Company collided with a Moroccan truck carrying vegetables, bound for the north of Nouadhibou. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported.
More scared than hurt! The accident, which occurred about 50 kilometers from the city of Nouadhibou, caused significant material damage, without any loss of life. This collision between the truck and the train also caused a traffic jam on the way to the economic capital.
According to some local sources, the train was transporting iron ore from the city of Zouerate, bound for Nouadhibou, from where the Mauritanian iron is transported to the port before being exported.
