Tragic Triple Electrocution Claims Family in Ourika: Wedding Plans Turn to Mourning

Ourika is in shock. Three members of a family have lost their lives by electrocution during the night from Thursday to Friday.
The tragedy occurred in the douar Takourt, in the commune of Ourika, near Marrakech. While trying to install a water pump in the irrigation canal located within the house, a family father was electrocuted. He was surprised by an electric shock that hit him first. His wife also died while trying to save him. Their daughter died during the rescue attempt of her two parents. She was preparing her wedding.
This tragedy has plunged the bereaved family into deep sadness and has caused a wave of emotion throughout the commune. The neighbors and acquaintances of the victims mourn the death of a family known, according to them, for its kindness, simplicity and humility.
