Tragic Loss: Belgian Community Mourns Three Children Killed in Morocco Vacation Accident

The municipality of Ans paid tribute to the three children of an MRE family who died in a tragic road accident in Morocco in July.
At the initiative of the Islamic and Cultural Center of Ans, an evening of mourning and tribute was organized on Friday, August 26 for Youssef, 13, Yassin, 5, and Ibtissam, 15, three Ansois who died in Morocco in July, reports Sudinfo. More than a month later, the family is still in shock. "Their absence is a daily pain."
Leaving for Morocco to spend their vacation there, the six members of the Boujamaoui family were struck by a tragedy. With cousins, uncles and aunts, they had gone to an oasis to swim there. Without the mother and the eldest daughter. Upon arrival at the scene, they begin to swim. Suddenly, one of the cousins of the Ansois drowns. The rescue workers tried to save him, in vain. This tragedy deeply saddened the family to return.
The father of the Ansois, Brahim, takes a seat in the authorities’ vehicle. The rest of the family followed the convoy transporting the body of the young victim. As the uncle of the children was driving the car, an accident occurred. The uncle, terribly saddened by the tragedy that had just occurred in the oasis "was in tears at the wheel of the vehicle" and would have felt unwell, reported La Meuse.
This was followed by an extremely violent road departure. Youssef, 13, Yassin, almost 5, and Ibtissam, 15, as well as two of their cousins, died on the spot. As for one of the aunts of the children, she succumbed to her injuries two days later. After the tragic accident, the Boujamaoui family chose not to return to the family home in Ans, where they have all the memories of the deceased children.
