A tragedy occurred on Sunday, around 11:30 a.m., in Salé. A man threw himself onto the tracks as a train was arriving, connecting Casablanca to Kenitra.
According to a press release from the National Railway Office, the incident, which took place on the axis connecting Salé-Tabriquet to Bouknadel, resulted in the interruption of rail traffic for several hours.
A judicial investigation has been opened to verify whether it is a suicide or a simple accident. The firefighters remained on site to secure and clear the area.
