The city of M’diq, about ten kilometers from Martil, was the scene of a family tragedy on Sunday afternoon. Three members of the same family died of asphyxiation following a butane gas leak.
A man, his wife and their only son were found dead in their apartment in the city center. The victims died of asphyxiation from toxic gas fumes.
The bodies were taken to the morgue, while an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy, which has upset the relatives and neighbors of the victims.
Gas water heaters, as well as phone chargers, are the source of a large part of domestic accidents in Morocco in recent years.
