Deadly Butane Gas Leak in Tangier Claims Two Lives, Leaves Three in Critical Condition

A couple died earlier this week after being exposed to a butane gas leak. The couple’s three sons are currently in intensive care.
This tragic scene is common during the cold season. It was in the Colonia neighborhood of Tangier that the 73-year-old man and the 56-year-old woman died due to the fumes from a gas bottle that was fueling a water heater. They would have succumbed to asphyxiation following this serious domestic accident.
The care provided by the city’s emergency services could not prevent the worst. An investigation has been opened in Tangier to clearly define the circumstances of this tragedy. The children who are fighting for their lives in intensive care are 13, 23, and 25 years old respectively. An identical tragedy was recorded the same day in M’Diq, also causing the death of a couple, according to Le360.
