Two brothers, aged 8 and 11, died on Sunday evening in a fire that broke out in a building on the outskirts of Fez.
Trapped in the middle of the flames, the two children died before the arrival of the rescue services, reports the local site Andaluspress. Their mother, who was also on the spot, was seriously injured.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, the same source believes, specifying that it caused significant damage, due to the late arrival of the firefighters.
A judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the disaster.
