Marrakech Stunned by Double Child Homicide; Father and Stepmother Under Suspicion
The "Bab Ksiba" district in Marrakech was shaken on Sunday morning by a tragedy. Two children aged 12 and 14 were coldly murdered in the house where they lived with their father and stepmother.
The 12-year-old boy was "strangled in a bedroom on the first floor of the family home", and the 14-year-old girl was "stabbed with a bladed weapon on the roof of the same house", according to the General Directorate of National Security.
The residents of the neighborhood, still in shock from this drama, wonder what could have happened for these children to lose their lives in their innocence. For the moment, "the preliminary data from the investigation reveal a suspicion of involvement of the 50-year-old stepmother".
The investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances in which the murders took place. "Pending the determination of the circumstances in which the murders took place, the accused has been taken into custody".
