Tragic Electrocution of 11-Year-Old Shocks Moroccan City of Beni Mellal

The death of an 11-year-old teenager by electrocution on the Place de la Marche Verte has moved the inhabitants of the city of Beni Mellal.
An inadvertence that cost him his life. From the testimonies collected on the spot, it appears that the teenager was playing with his friend when the tragedy occurred. Indeed, he failed to pay attention to the electrical wires coming out of a public lighting pole. As a result, the two children were electrocuted.
The 11-year-old teenager died on the spot. His friend was rushed to the hospital.
Alerted, the local authorities immediately went to the scene. The police, for their part, made the usual findings before the body was evacuated to the morgue for an autopsy.
Under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
