Former Moroccan MP Arrested After Fatal Collision with Motorcyclist in Safi

The Eid al-Adha atmosphere was marred by a tragedy that claimed the life of the young motorcyclist, Saïd N. According to leseco.ma, the residents of Douar Abdelkader, in the Safi region, helplessly witnessed this tragic scene. Due to the violent impact of the accident, the young Saïd did not survive. He died on the spot. His friend, who was accompanying him, was luckier. He was rushed to the hospital where he is receiving the necessary care.

According to the same source, the passenger is still in serious condition, but his vital prognosis is not engaged. An investigation was immediately opened and conducted by the judicial authorities, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.

In the meantime, the former MP has been taken into custody, before being brought before the Prosecutor of the Safi Court, who ordered his presentation before the competent jurisdiction.
