Tragedy Strikes: Three Togolese Students Drown at Moroccan Beach Near Casablanca
Three Togolese scholarship students studying in Morocco died by drowning during an outing to El Jadida near Casablanca while they were swimming at the Sidi Moussa beach.
According to the Coordination of Togolese Students and Trainees in Morocco (CESTOM), the tragedy occurred in the evening of September 5.
Robert Dussey, Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, has disclosed the identities of the deceased: Kossi Amégno Adoulé, Kokouvi Rodrigue Afotogbé and Yao Mawoussi Noumouley. They were students in Economics and Natural Sciences.
Furthermore, Minister Dussey has presented his condolences to the victims’ families. For now, the search continues to find the body of the third victim.
