Rescue services were called on Monday afternoon to assist three young people swept away by the waves on the beach of Saidia. Only two of them were able to be brought back to shore.
The civil protection elements managed to save two young people swept away by the waves. The body of the third was found a little later.
The initial investigation reveals that the young people had come to enjoy the beach, even before the reopening date announced by the Moroccan authorities. A mistake that would prove fatal to them.
The two survivors were taken to the emergency room, while the victim’s body was taken to the hospital morgue.
