Pregnant Woman and Friend Rescued from Drowning After Defying Morocco’s Lockdown at Cabo Negro Beach

Two young women, one of whom is pregnant, narrowly avoided the worst last Sunday, by deciding to swim on a beach in Cabo negro, in violation of the measures of the state of health emergency.
Despite the extension of the confinement announced the day before by the Moroccan authorities, the two young women did not hesitate to defy the state of emergency, by taking a bath in front of their seaside residence.
The story could have ended very badly for them, were it not for the vigilance of a neighbor. Rescued at the last minute by the latter, they finally managed to reach dry land.
The two women were taken to the emergency room, pending prosecution for violating the state of health emergency. In parallel, an investigation was opened by the Martil police services.
