Morocco: Two Women Arrested for Violating COVID-19 Lockdown, Posting Videos Online

Two young women were arrested last Wednesday, after posting videos on Snapchat showing them violating the state of health emergency.
Boasting of having defied the authorities, by circulating in the various arteries of the cities of Martil and Tétouan, the young women, aged 30 and 31, wanted to immortalize their misconduct in a video.
This mistake will cost them 48 hours in custody, before being prosecuted in detention on Friday last, by the public prosecutor’s office near the court of first instance.
The two accused will have to answer, on May 8, on charges of violating the state of health emergency, inciting non-compliance with containment measures, and insulting the security forces through obscene gestures and acts.
