Tourists Flee Marrakech Heatwave for Cooler Ourika Mountains

Dozens of Moroccan and foreign tourists in Marrakech have been forced to move to mountainous areas, particularly the Ourika region, to escape the intense heat that has prevailed in the ochre city during the Eid al-Fitr period.
Many residents and tourists in Marrakech, fleeing the extreme heat that hit the city for five days, rushed to the tourist region of Ourika, known for its moderate climate, waterfalls and green spaces, to spend pleasant moments of relaxation.
The Ourika region is one of the most popular tourist destinations for both domestic and foreign tourists. Located a few kilometers from Marrakech, it is very popular with many tourists on vacation in the ochre city.
