Marrakech Launches Free Tourist Guide Service to Enhance Visitor Experience

Young men and women wearing T-shirts with the mention "Ask me for free" roam the streets of Marrakech to offer orientation services to tourists.
This new type of "tourist guides" in Marrakech is part of an innovative project of the Union of Inventors. Positioned in the strategic areas of the city such as Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the station and the Marrakech-Menara airport, the teams of young people offer free orientation services to tourists throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In detail, these new-generation tourist guides accompany tourists in the search for suitable hotels and means of transport, and in the discovery of tourist sites and traditional markets in the ochre city. The project aims to help tourists, without financial compensation, to better organize their trips by providing them with the necessary information and support.
This initiative deserves to be supported and encouraged, as it will strengthen the experience of tourists in Marrakech, as well as the image of the ochre city as an innovative and welcoming tourist destination, said Abdelaziz Mestaoui, president of the International Inventors Union, to Kech24.
