Tourism in Morocco: 16.6 million visitors, the country ranked Top 10 worldwide in 2026
Morocco has been identified as one of the ten must-see tourist destinations for the year 2026. This is what the American specialized magazine Travel and Tour World (TTW) affirms, highlighting the cultural richness and unique landscapes of the Kingdom.
The American publication particularly emphasizes the city of Fez. It notes that the spiritual capital is experiencing a "renaissance" thanks to ambitious restoration projects that are reviving its ancient medina. The magazine describes Fez as a "living museum", inviting visitors to explore its souks and winding alleys.
A recognition confirmed by record figures
This international recognition coincides with record figures in the sector. The Minister of Tourism, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, took advantage of the signing of a strategic agreement between the Alliances group and Rixos Hotels to announce a new historic performance.
She revealed that Morocco had already welcomed 16.6 million tourists by the end of October 2025. This figure represents an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2024. For the Minister, these results materialize "an attractive destination for both visitors and investors", the establishment of the Rixos group confirming this appeal.
