Top Olive Oil Experts to Judge World’s Best at Evooleum Awards in Spain
Thirty of the world’s best tasters will meet on March 18 and 19 in Cordoba, southern Spain, for the Evooleum Awards international competition, to evaluate samples of the 100 best extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) in the world, including that of Morocco.
"This edition of the competition is the most accomplished because it has largely exceeded all expectations and the number of extra virgin olive oils received in previous editions," said the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities (AEMO) and the Mercacei Group, the organizers of the competition, in a note.
The jury, made up of thirty of the world’s best tasters, will evaluate olive oils from more than 20 countries including Morocco, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Turkey, Algeria, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, the United States, Germany, Brazil, Japan, China, etc.
