Moroccan Olive Oils Absent from World’s Top 100 Ranking

Not a single Moroccan olive oil is among the best in the world, according to the Top 100 of the prestigious Evooleum Awards.
Moroccan olive oils apparently do not have a good reputation internationally. None of them are part of this global ranking. The sharp drop in production, due to the persistent drought that has hit Morocco for six years, could explain the absence of Moroccan olive oils in this list.
The Spanish extra virgin olive oil Dehesa El Molinillo Coratina (Ciudad Real) dominates the Top 100 of the prestigious Evooleum Awards. In total, 59 Spanish extra virgin olive oils, including 37 from Andalusia, are featured in this ranking. In the Top 10, there are seven Spanish extra virgin olive oils, two Italian and one Croatian.
The Top 100 of the Evooleum Awards 2024 takes into account olive oils from 11 countries: Spain, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Croatia, France, Tunisia, Morocco, Brazil, Greece and Israel.
