Moroccan Chef Zineb Hattab Named Among Top 50 Rising Stars in Global Gastronomy
The Moroccan Zineb Hattab is among the nominees for the second edition of 50 Next, an initiative that highlights young talents in various fields of gastronomy.
Zineb Hattab, affectionately called "Zizi", embarked on the gourmet restaurant industry in 2014, after leaving her job as a software developer. She has done various internships in the best restaurants in Spain like Nerua Guggenheim Bilbao and El Celler de Can Roca, and in the world such as Schloss Schauenstein (Switzerland), Osteria Francescana (Italy), and finally Cosme (New York).

Over the years of learning, the Moroccan residing in Spain since her childhood has always been committed to bringing about changes in the sector. In 2020, she created Kle, a vegan restaurant. "Zineb Hattab has created a vegan restaurant that can compete with the best restaurants in the world," notes 50 Next.
This year, the number of applications has decreased, from more than 700 last year to just over 400 in 2022.
