Top Colombian ELN Criminal Captured in Spain Before Morocco Escape

Released by mistake on February 3 and actively sought by Interpol, a dangerous ELN criminal, nicknamed "Zarco", was arrested in Alicante, Spain as he was about to join Morocco with his girlfriend.
The Spanish police have apprehended one of the most wanted ELN criminals in the world. The defendant, "Zarco", released in Spain on February 3 following an administrative error, was actively sought by the Colombian section of Interpol. He is cited in several ongoing cases before the Colombian justice system.
"Zarco" was arrested at his home in Alicante as he was about to flee with his girlfriend to Morocco. The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informed of his arrest, immediately began the official procedures for his extradition to Colombia where he will have to answer several charges including crimes. Interpol has invited the Spanish government to proceed with his extradition within two weeks.
