Tommy Hilfiger Unveils First Hijab Design, Joining Major Brands in Muslim Fashion Market

The Tommy Hilfiger brand has just presented its first hijab model, which is made of a fine jacquard. It will be marketed at a price of 69 euros.
Like Nike, American Eagle or Banana Republic as well as Uniqlo or Macy’s, Tommy Hilfiger has innovated with its hijab model. According to carnetsduluxe.com, the fabric is sewn with a touch of soft lurex thread to create a geometric pattern adorned with capital T and H letters. To interest the consumer, the brand name is also scratched on the frieze that runs through the veil.
This model will soon be available in two colors (ivory and captain gray) in Europe and the Middle East in some Tommy Hilfiger stores and on the brand’s website.
Tommy Hilfiger is thus targeting the global Islamic economic market. It represents an enormous financial windfall for the lifestyle sector. According to the figures in the "The State of the Global Islamic Economic Report" for the year 2018, 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide spent nearly $2,200 billion in the clothing, food or pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical sectors.
