Three Arrested in Morocco for Kidnapping and Rape of Teen, Ransom Demanded

Three individuals were arrested last Friday by the judicial police brigade of Ain sebaa in Casablanca, for their alleged involvement in a case of kidnapping of a minor, rape and ransom demand.
According to a statement from the national security directorate, the victim’s mother had requested the help of the police services to find her 17-year-old daughter, who had been missing from the family home in Sidi Bennour for several days.
In the meantime, she received a call from one of the suspects, who demanded a ransom of 5,000 dirhams in exchange for the release of the young teenager, reported the daily Assabah. She had, according to the results of the preliminary investigation, been sequestered in a house in Casablanca.
The three suspects, whose identity was determined through thorough police investigations, were taken into custody, at the disposal of the public prosecutor’s office, pending their appearance before the courts.
