Thousands March in Morocco for Palestine as Ziyech Jersey Sales Surge

Several tens of thousands of people marched on Sunday in Rabat in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, a year after the start of the Israeli intervention. Hakim Ziyech was virtually among them.
Among those present, a vendor of Hakim Ziyech jerseys who sold several dozen during the demonstration.
To recall, the Moroccan player had strongly criticized the Moroccan government for its passivity and for not having condemned the Israeli attack on the populations of Gaza.
"Let’s clarify one thing! Cursed be Israel and any other country that supports this kind of behavior," the Moroccan international had written in a first post on Instagram, before adding in a second post: "My previous post was also addressed to the government of our country that supports the genocide, as well as to all the other countries that support it. Shame on you..." Faced with the criticism sparked by this second message, the Moroccan striker had ended up deleting it.
A few days later, the player had wanted to show his support for the Lebanese people. The Moroccan striker of Galatasaray posted on his Instagram account an image of two children holding the flags of Palestine and Lebanon in the midst of the rubble, with the caption "برداً وسلاماً" (Peace and security).
These various supports could perhaps be at the origin of his non-convocation for the next two matches of the Moroccan national team.
